Spike your Juice Review & Giveaway!! Ends 12/19/11

A few weeks back I discovered Spike your Juice.  I was on another blog reading a review about the product and knew that I had to try it!!  I contacted the company and within a few days I was spiking my juice!!

It is a very simple process
1.  Buy a bottle of juice, 64 oz. (they recommend a few juices that work best) I picked Welch's Grape Juice
2.  Pour a packet into the juice

3. Fill Airlock with water to Fill Line

4. Seal bottle with Airlock and Rubber Stopper

5. Store at room temperature

After 48 hrs start sampling.  If you like the taste, close the bottle with the Rubber Stopper, refrigerate and enjoy.

If you prefer a stronger and dryer taste with increased alcohol content, re-seal with Airlock and Rubber Stopper and continue storing at room temperature until satisfied.

I tried mine at 48 hours on the dot and I loved the taste of it.  It  was carbonated, sweet, and slightly boozy!!  The yeast makes the wine smell not so great but the taste is really good. 

This is a really fun and easy product.  Make a batch and invite your friends over and enjoy!!  We host a New Years Eve Party every year and I plan on making a few bottles.

Spike your juice was developed by a group of Europeans living in California. Having grown up near wine producing regions, they particularly craved a seasonal drink called “Federweißer”, which was only available during harvest time. Long distance transportation was impossible due to the ongoing fermentation inside each bottle.

Soda Stream System Review & Giveaway

For the past few days, my family and I, have been using a SodaStream system.  It is so much fun and it makes wonderful sodas!

It is so easy to make soda.  You use one of the BPA Free bottles provided and fill it with water (just under the water line).  Then you screw the bottle into the soda stream, pump 3 times (this adds the fizz you add more pumps depending on your fizz preference.  We are a 3 pump family.).  Finally you removed the bottle add the flavor, gently shake and BAM you have soda.  Quick, Easy, and Fun!!

This product is also very environmentally friendly.  Think about all of the bottles you are saving.

Good Morning Mommy - I puked last night in my bed

Kids amaze me in that they can puke in the middle of the night, sleep in the puke, and then wake up and play like a rock star! 

This is the case at my house this morning.  I went in to check the damage hoping that all of the puke stayed in the bed...

It was 1/2 and 1/2 = 1/2 on the sheet, 1/2 in the carpet.  Should I call the dogs in?? (just kidding!!  but seriously they do love puke, ok I just puked in my mouth!)

Of course, I am out of carpet cleaner!  Pinterest to the rescue!

Howard B. Wigglebottom Book Review & Giveaway!!

I recently received the book "Blends in Like a Chameleons: A Fable About Belonging" by Howard B. Wigglebottom to review.  It is a wonderful book about a little boy named Joey that struggles to pay attention, sit still and to finish tasks in school. 

My oldest son has ADHD and this book really hit home for us.  The book is full of compassion learning, and understanding.  Howard, another character in the book, feels sorry for Joey and wants to help Joey (and he succeeds!!)

This book was amazing!  I do not have breast cancer but I am very happy I read this book.
