I love this idea!!  It is so pretty and useful.  This would make a great gift for a teacher, friend, or a wiend (work friend).  BTW last week I found crystal light at the Dollar Tree!!  They also carry a varirty of other powdered sticks!!  Make the Dollar Tree your first stop.

Wow I did a lot of cookin' today!!

Once again I had a strong urge to be domestic today.  I headed out to the store to make all of the things that I have been craving lately.  We have been eating way too much at McDonald's.

First up was Quick Gourmet Chicken Salad.  I found all of these recipes on pinterest!  The "owner" of the wonderful recipe is real mom kitchen.  Please go to her site to get the full, super easy recipe.  My husband and I both loved it!!



Next up are these little pieces of heaven!!  Cinnamon PRETZEL BITES!!  Just get off your butt and bake is the mastermind behind this recipe!  WOW they are so easy and awesome.  My son ate the entire batch (except for the 3 that I sampled).  They taste just like the mall pretzels!!  Promise.  Also, I used roll dough that I found in the freezer section of dollar tree.  She uses a different brand.  Go to here site for the full tutorial.  Mine were the bomb-diggity!



Finally I made these adorable Cheesy Chicken Pot Pie Cups.  They turned out fantastic!  We ate them up.  You can find the recipe and tutorial over at Between 3 sisters.



So now I am stuffed and ready for a nap.  Guess my husband will have to clean up my mess.  I am a MESSY cook!

The author of Domestically Speaking was kind enough to let me share this brilliant idea with all of you!!  She used mason jars and filled them with M&M's.  Then she printed out this cute M&M poem, glued it to some cardstock to frame it out, hole punched around the edges & then weaved the twine through the holes & attached the poem with some twine to the jar.

Djubi Review & Giveaway!! **New FUN Family Game**

Over the past few days my family and I reviewed Djubi!  It is an awesome game that the entire family can play!

What is Djubi?
Djubi is the ultimate game of catch!  You use a racquet that has a built in hook.  You hook a Djubi ball to it and pull.  The other player tries to catch the ball.  It is easy to use but is very challenging!  I played the game with my 11 year old son, and a family friend that is also 11 years old.  We had a blast!  It was so nice to be able to play outside with the two kids.

Boy did I get a workout!  It gets you off of the couch and moving!  The racquet and balls are made of high quality materials.  I dropped the racquet on the concrete and it did not even scratch it!  I thought for sure that I broke it but it was perfect.

My Review
I was given the shampoo, conditioner, super sticky hair gel and psycho sticky hair glue to review.  My 11 year old son was immediately in love with Monkey Brains.  The bottles are cool because they are shaped like bananas!!  My son had been using a kid shampoo that I had picked up from a dollar store and I had noticed that his hair always seemed oily, even after a washing.  After using Monkey Brains shampoo his hair looked really clean.  It was soft and smelled great!  I was surprised at the difference.  I guess my baby isn't a baby anymore!  It was clear that he had outgrown kiddie shampoo.

It was able to keep his hair standing up!  Amazing!  We had a lot of fun playing around with it!!

Another women under the age of 40 with breast cancer?!?!?!

Have you heard that Giuliana Rancic has breast cancer?!?!?  She is 37 years old!  In America a women is not likely to get a mammogram until she is 40, unless someone in her family has breast cancer.  In my opinion this is B.S.!!

Last year at my yearly visit to the OBGYN I asked for a mammogram.  My doctor told me that since I had no family history my insurance company would not pay for a mammogram.  Here is the deal...I have lumpy breasts.  Probably caused by drinking too much caffeine and there are a lot of things that the feel weird in my breasts but, my OBGYN assured me that she did not think that they were tumors.  Then last week I went to my family doctor.  He gave me a breast exam and asked if I had ever had a mammogram. I told him the story above and he said that he wants to be sure that what we are feeling is NOT a tumor(s).  GREAT!  He immediately wrote the orders and I was scheduled for my first mammogram.  To make a long story short everything worked out fine for me but what about the other women out there that are not 40 and NEED a mammogram?



DID YOU KNOW...

"In 2009, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) — a group of health experts that reviews published research and makes recommendations about preventive health care — issued revised mammogram guidelines. Those guidelines include the following:

• Screening mammograms should be done every two years beginning at age 50 for women at average risk of breast cancer.
• Screening mammograms before age 50 should not be done routinely and should be based on a woman's values regarding the risks and benefits of mammography.
• Doctors should not teach women to do breast self-exams.
• There is insufficient evidence that mammogram screening is effective for women age 75 and older, so specific recommendations for this age group were not included.

These guidelines differ from those of the American Cancer Society (ACS). The ACS mammogram guidelines call for yearly mammogram screening beginning at age 40 for women at average risk of breast cancer. Meantime, the ACS says the breast self-exam is optional in breast cancer screening.

According to the USPSTF, women who have screening mammograms die of breast cancer less frequently than do women who don't get mammograms. However, the USPSTF says the benefits of screening mammograms don't outweigh the harms for women ages 40 to 49. Potential harms may include false-positive results that lead to unneeded breast biopsies and accompanying anxiety and distress." (Pruthi, M.D., 2010)
